How to watch West Ham vs Chelsea live

West Ham vs Chelsea is scheduled for 12:30pm on Saturday 21st September and will be broadcast live on TNT Sports 1.

How both teams go into West Ham vs Chelsea

The Julen Lopetegui era at West Ham has got off to a rocky start. The Hammers went into the September international break with just one win from their opening three Premier League matches, losing the other two. And, worryingly, both defeats did come at home.

The Hammers opened the 2024/25 campaign with a 2-1 defeat at the London Stadium against Aston Villa, before falling 3-1 to Manchester City. There was, however, a 1-0 win over Bournemouth at home in the EFL Cup, which Lopetegui will be hoping to add to here.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have experienced the opposite. At the September international break, Chelsea’s only league win has come away from home, beating Wolves 6-2 at Molineux. At home, Enzo Maresca has started with a defeat to Man City and draw with Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

The Blues do play Bournemouth away from home before this match too, so they could have added to their away record. And it would be a big occasion for Chelsea if they were to beat West Ham, claiming a rare win at the London Stadium.

West Ham host Chelsea at the London Stadium at 12:30pm on Saturday 21st September.

West Ham team news

Alphonse Areola picked up an injury before the international break, but West Ham will be hopeful of him being back in time for this game. Aaron Cresswell remains a longer-term absentee.

Chelsea team news

Chelsea suffered a blow before the international break with Malo Gusto picking up an injury which ruled him out of action for France U21s. But Chelsea will be hoping he is fit for this game, particularly with Reece James’ involvement still uncertain. Romeo Lavia is also a doubt.

West Ham vs Chelsea head-to-head

Chelsea won their last game against West Ham, a 5-0 victory in May. However, the Blues haven’t won at the London Stadium in any of their past three visits.
