How both teams go into West Ham vs Brentford
The arrival of Graham Potter is yet to inspire much change at West Ham, who are now on a run of just one win from their last seven matches across all competitions, and just four points from their last six Premier League matches. Even so, the Hammers are 15th and 10 points clear of the relegation zone, although supporters will expect drastic improvement soon.
That could come against a Brentford side who have picked up just eight points on the road this season, although three of them came in their last away match at Crystal Palace. This will be Brentford’s third straight London derby after they lost 2-0 at home to Spurs last time out, leaving them 11th in the table, but just six points off the top eight.
West Ham team news
West Ham will remain without long-term absentees Crysencio Summerville and Michail Antonio, while the likes of Niclas Fullkrug, Jean-Clair Todibo, Lucas Paqueta and Edson Alvarez are doubts.
Brentford team news
Kristoffer Ajer came off injured against Tottenham and is now a doubt for this match, while Brentford remain without Aaron Hickey. However, the Bees will hope to have Rico Henry, Josha Dasilva and Thiago Rodrigues back in action.
West Ham vs Brentford head-to-head
West Ham have taken four points from their last two games against Brentford after losing all five Premier League meetings following the Bees’ promotion to the top flight.
