This has been an excellent start for West Ham who find themselves in fourth place after winning three of their opening four Premier League outings. David Moyes’ men are unbeaten with their only blemish coming on matchday one when they were held to a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth on the road.

Defending champions Man City, and favourites to win a fourth successive crown, sit on top with a perfect record having beaten Burnley, Newcastle, Sheffield United and Fulham. Pep Guardiola is back in the dugout for the Citizens just in time to face one his favourite sides, having gone unbeaten in all 14 of his Premier League games against West Ham, winning 12 and drawing two.

In  Out Doubtful
Konstantinos Mavropanos, Tomas Soucek James Ward-Prowse, Vladimir Coufal

Konstantinos Mavropanos could be in line to make his West Ham debut after joining the club before the international break, but it may have to be from the bench. James Ward-Prowse and Vladimir Coufal are both doubts, but should be fit enough to start, while Tomas Soucek returns after missing the game against Luton through concussion.

Man City team news

In  Out Doubtful
John Stones Kevin De Bruyne Jack Grealish, Mateo Kovacic

In what will probably be the best bit of news for City fans, Pep Guardiola is back in the dugout after completing his recovery from routine back surgery. The manager is joined by John Stones, who is once again available again, but Belgian playmaker Kevin De Bruyne continues his recovery after hamstring surgery.

Jack Grealish, pulled out of the England squad and Mateo Kovacic picked up a knock while away with Croatia, so both players will need to be assessed.
