How to watch Tottenham vs Qarabag live
Tottenham vs Qarabag is scheduled for 8pm on Thursday 26th September and will be broadcast live on TNT Sports 1.
How both teams go into Tottenham vs Qarabag
European football has become a regular occurrence for Tottenham fans, so they will be excited to be back. Champions League runners-up in 2018-19, things have been very underwhelming for Tottenham since. Spurs have reached the last 16 of the Champions League twice and the same stage of the Europa League once. There was also the group-stage exit in the Europa Conference League in 2021-22, which saw them forfeit a match.
Having previously won the Uefa Cup, Tottenham haven’t fared well in Europe’s secondary competition in recent times. Since its rebranding as the Europa League, Tottenham have only made it past the round of 16 in one of their seven entries. In 2020-21, they topped their group and beat Wolfsberger in the round of 32, before a shock exit to Dinamo Zagreb in the last 16.
Qarabag, meanwhile, are experiencing their 11th-straight season in the group stage of a European competition. During that time, the Azerbaijani club have featured in the Europa League group stage eight times, including in each of the past two seasons.
Last season they made it to the last 16 before being knocked out by Bayer Leverkusen. But they were agonisingly close on two occasions to becoming the first team to beat the German side last season. They led until injury time in both the first and second legs, but ultimately left with a 5-4 aggregate defeat.
Tottenham host Qarabag at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at 8pm on Thursday 26th September.
Tottenham team news
Wilson Odobert picked up a thigh injury against Coventry City in the EFL Cup third round last week and is out of action until after the international break. Richarlison is also sidelined.
Qarabag team news
Qarabag currently have two players out injured. Shahrudin Mahammadaliyev and Amin Ramazanov are both sidelined for the visitors. Marko Jankovic made a return from injury at the weekend, with five minutes against Neftchi Baku. It’s a boost to have the midfielder back, though he is unlikely to start.
Tottenham vs Qarabag head-to-head
This will be just the third meeting between these two sides. Tottenham beat Qarabag home and away in the Europa League group stage in 2015-16 under Mauricio Pochettino.
