Tottenham vs Leicester predictions, odds, betting tips & team news

Tottenham host Leicester in a Premier League showdown on Sunday, January 26th, at 2pm (UK time). Spurs sit 15th in the league despite having a goal difference of +10 and being the second-highest scorers, while the Foxes are desperate for a change of fortune after losing seven on the bounce. Check out our match preview and best bets from expert tipster Anthony Eadson.
Leicester to Score first (2/1 with bet365)
Spurs are winless in six home league games and have won just one of their last ten which came against Southampton.
In 11 home league games this season, Tottenham have conceded first in seven of those. West Ham, Ipswich, and Wolves are just a few of the teams in the bottom half who have opened the scoring and with a depleted Spurs defence and after a trip to Germany on Thursday, the Foxes can take advantage.
Dejan Kulusevski to Score Anytime (11/5 with Paddy Power)
Dejan Kulusevski has been Spurs most innovative player in an incredibly disappointing Premier League campaign. Their only shining light at times has been the Swede, who has scored in four of his last eight league games. Spurs are somehow the second-highest-scoring team in the league despite being 15th in the table, and it’s hard not to envisage them scoring against Leicester who have conceded multiple goals in their last nine.
Since Ruud van Nistelrooy took charge for the first time on 3 December, only Brentford (176) and Southampton (169) have faced more shots than the Foxes (154). The 17.1 shots they’ve faced per game under the Dutchman is still marginally lower than they did under Steve Cooper this season (17.6).

How both teams go into Tottenham vs Leicester
Tottenham’s season is starting to look like one to forget unless they can quickly turn things around. After their first 22 league matches, they sit in 15th place, just eight points above the relegation zone. As of now, the Lilywhites are on a six-game winless streak in the league, with five losses and one draw. More concerning is the fact that they’ve won only one of their last ten Premier League matches, suffering seven losses and two draws during that stretch. Additionally, Spurs have not won any of their last six home Premier League games, recording four losses and two draws. It has been ten matches since they last kept a clean sheet at home.
Meanwhile, Leicester City, back in the Premier League after a season away, have had a terrible first half of the campaign and currently find themselves second from bottom, two points adrift of safety. After sacking Steve Cooper and replacing him with former Manchester United interim head coach Ruud van Nistelrooy, the situation has worsened. Despite collecting four points from their first six under Van Nistelrooy, the Foxes have now lost seven consecutive matches. Following a 3-2 victory against fellow promoted side Southampton, they drew against another new team, Ipswich, but have since lost seven matches in a row.
Tottenham team news
Guglielmo Vicario and Destiny Udogie are long-term absentees for Tottenham. Rodrigo Bentancur and Fraser Forster returned against Hoffenheim and they could be bolstered by the return of both Pape Sarr and Yves Bissouma for this clash. Micky van de Ven, Brennan Johnson and Timo Werner are all on the treatment table.
Leicester team news
Issahaku Fatawu will be unavailable for Leicester City until the next season. Wilfred Ndidi is also sidelined, while Mads Hermansen may make a return soon. However, there is currently no timeline for Ricardo Pereira’s comeback.
Tottenham vs Leicester head-to-head
Tottenham, following a streak of four consecutive victories, have not secured a win in their last two encounters with Leicester (one loss and one draw).
