Tottenham vs Burnley match tip
Son Heung-Min to score anytime @ 8/11 with Bet365
Tottenham skipper and talisman Son Heung-Min scored in three of his last four Premier League home matches. Furthermore, he’s been directly involved in eight goals in his previous six Premier League games against Burnley (five goals, three assists), netting a hat-trick in the reverse fixture at Turf Moor in September.
The fallen-behind guys
The likelihood of Tottenham reaching next season’s Champions League is all but over. With three matches remaining, Ange Postecoglou’s men can only get a maximum of 69 points, meaning Aston Villa, currently in the coveted fourth spot, require one win from their last two Premier League fixtures.
How they’ve found themselves in the position, especially after running out 4-0 at Villa Park in mid-March, which put them in the catbird seat, has been down to a woeful run of form. Tottenham have lost each of their last four Premier League games. They last had a longer losing run between October and November 2004 (six – three under Jacques Santini, three under Martin Jol). Postecoglou could be the first Spurs manager to lose five in a row since Osvaldo Ardiles in February 1994 (seven).
Even more concerning is the fact since keeping consecutive clean sheets in the Premier League in October (against Luton and Fulham), Spurs have only kept two clean sheets in their last 26 games. Indeed, they haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their previous 13 home league games, their longest streak since a run of 15 between December 2002 and September 2003. It’s also worth noting Tottenham also conceded the opening goal in each of their last four league games, their longest such run since January 2023 (seven under Antonio Conte).
Despite losing just two of their last nine Premier League games, defeat here would see Burnley return to the Championship. The Clarets’ 4-1 defeat to Newcastle last time out coupled with Nottingham Forest’s win over Sheffield United means they are five points behind Forest with just two games remaining.
Tottenham vs Burnley odds
Spurs are looking to avoid losing five consecutive Premier League games for the first time since October/November 2004, while defeat for Burnley would see them lose their Premier League status. The Clarets are winless in their last 10 away league games against Tottenham (D1 L9) so expect the points to go to the home side once more.

With Emerson struggling at left-back against Liverpool, Ange Postecoglou might decide to give Oliver Skipp the nod after injuries to both Destiny Udogie and Ben Davies. Richarlison has been left out of the Brazil squad through injury, so Son may be forced once more to start up front.
