PSV all but booked their place in the Champions League group stages with a 4-1 first-leg win over Sturm Graz, but they won’t want to be too complacent against the Austrian side. Peter Bosz’s men came out flying in Eindhoven, with a brace from Luuk de Jong and a fourth minute strike from Isaac Babadi raced them into a 3-0 lead inside the opening 32 minutes. Jon Gorenc Stankovic pulled a goal back for the away side just before the break, but Ibrahim Sangare restored their advantage with just 15 minutes remaining.

The Dutch side are looking to make the group stages of the Champions League for the first time since the 2018/19 campaign, when they finished bottom of their group behind Barcelona, Tottenham and Inter, picking up just two points and failing to win a game. Peter Bosz’s side have been knocked out in the Champions League qualifying rounds in each of the last two seasons after back-to-back aggregate defeats to Benfica (1-2) in 2021/22 and Rangers (2-3) in 2022/23, but look to make it third time lucky this time around.
