How both teams go into Stoke vs West Brom
After finishing 5th last year, West Brom’s automatic promotion push this time around is off to a good start.
A Josh Maja hat-trick saw off QPR 3-1 on the opening day before a hard fought point at Leeds means the Baggies go into the weekend in sixth with four points from a possible six. A disappointing performance and an early exit from the EFL Cup against Fleetwood spoilt the mood a bit, but that now means that the Baggies full focus will be on securing their place back in the Premier League.
The travel to face a Stoke side who crashed back down to earth last weekend after a 3-0 defeat away at Watford. The Potters had won their opening two games after a tough 1-0 win at home to Coventry was followed up with a 2-0 away win against Carlise in the EFL Cup to secure their spot in the next round.
Matches between these two teams have always been close, with both matches finishing as a draw last campaign and we are expecting it to be tight once again this weekend.
