*Odds correct as of 14:30 on October 10

Man Utd could have been going into the October international break with four defeats from their past five Premier League matches, in the bottom half of the table. The Red Devils’ poor run started with defeats to Arsenal and Brighton either side of the September international break, the latter ending a long unbeaten run at home. They did beat Burnley in the league but lost at home once again, this time to Crystal Palace. Man Utd were then on their way to three consecutive home league defeats, trailing Brentford going into stoppage time in their final match before the international break. But in the end, they were left thanking Scott McTominay’s heroics, with two goals deep into stoppage time, sealing all three points.

For Sheffield United, the international break was a mini reprieve from their disastrous start, but the quest for a first win must resume. Back in the top flight, the Blades haven’t had the return they will have hoped for, taking just one point from their opening eight matches. The sole point came in a 2-2 draw with Everton before the September international break, but Sheffield United have followed that up with four straight defeats. Tottenham, Newcastle, West Ham and Fulham have all taken three points from Sheffield United, the latter a 3-1 defeat to end a terrible period.

Sheffield United vs Man Utd match tip

Man Utd to win and BTTS @ 19/10 with Midnite

Sheffield United may have scored just six goals in the Premier League this season but they are facing a defence that has been quite charitable. Andre Onana hasn’t exactly inspired confidence in the backline, conceding 12 goals, with only six goalkeepers letting in more. However, Man Utd will be confident of a victory having left Bramall Lane victorious in six of their last seven visits across all competitions.

BTTS, Over 3.5 goals & Sheffield United most cards

Despite Man Utd’s leaky defence, Sheffield United unfortunately have the leakiest backline in the Premier League, conceding 22 goals this season. They are also slightly worse than Man Utd when it comes to yellow cards, receiving 23 so far this season — only three teams have been shown more.
