Roma vs AC Milan Predictions, Tips and Odds: Have Giallorossi already ‘peaked’ in Europa League clash?
Italian rivals Roma and AC Milan meet at the Stadio Olimpico in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final clash on Thursday.
Roma caused a shock by taking a 1-0 lead away from the San Siro in the first leg last week, with centre-back Gianluca Mancini scoring the only goal of the game in the 17th minute before helping his side hold on against a barrage of 25 Milanese shots.

Roma have already ‘peaked’ in Europa League clash, Pioli claims
Roma didn’t brilliantly to pull off a 1-0 win away at the San Siro in the first leg last week, and it certainly leaves AC Milan in a tough position for the return fixture. However, Rossoneri boss Stefano Pioli is incredibly confident his side will do what it takes to get through. In fact, Pioli even believes Roma reached their ‘peak’ in the first leg last week while claiming his players were simultaneously below their usual standards.
“We have to play a great game on Thursday, but we don’t have to do something extraordinary,” Pioli told reporters. He continued: “If we just play the way we know how, we will have the chance to beat Roma. Roma played an excellent match in Milan, but that was their peak. We, however, played below our level.
“If we play at our level, it will be a very balanced match, in which episodes can have an impact, we will have to put in more quality and determination than in the first leg. Our future will depend on our performances, we are in the decisive period of the season.”
Whether or not Pioli’s words serve as inspiration for Milan or an easy team-talk for Roma boss Daniele De Rossi remains to be seen.
