PSG are on the march to the Ligue 1 title once again and their confidence will be further boosted after their 4-1 thrashing of Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-final second leg at the Camp Nou.
It’s a tough test next, however, as they welcome a resurgent Lyon to the Parc des Princes, with the visitors losing just one of their last 13 matches across all competitions — winning their last three — in a run that’s seen them reach the Coupe de France final (where they’ll play PSG), and climb to seventh in Ligue 1, just two points adrift of the Europa Conference League spot.
But if there’s one man who knows how to get things done against Lyon, it’s Kylian Mbappe. Of course, that could go for most opponents given Mbappe’s quality, but the 25-year-old is particularly potent against Lyon, scoring 13 career goals against them to date with only Montpellier (15) suffering more at his hands.
Purely for PSG, no player has scored more goals against Lyon in club history than Mbappe, who will be keen to extend that record on Sunday to bring the title another step closer.
