Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace prediction, stats, tips & team news: Chris Wood to strike in 10/1 Bet Builder
Crystal Palace will be hoping to get their Premier League season up and running when they travel to face Nottingham Forest after the international break.
The Eagles are still chasing their first league win of the new campaign. Nottingham Forest are sitting 12th at the moment with just one defeat from their opening seven matches.
Nottingham Forest Double Chance & Chris Wood 1+ Shot on Target (1/1 with BoyleSports)
Crystal Palace have failed to win all of their seven matches this season, but did put in a strong showing against Liverpool in their most recent outing before the international break. Palace have not beaten Forest since 2011 and with the Tricky Trees having accrued seven more points this season than Glasner’s side, taking the hosts to win or draw the game looks an appropriate play.
Paired with Forest Double Chance is Chris Wood to record one or more shots on target. The frontman scored in both internationals for New Zealand over the break and has been the main goal threat for his club side this season. Wood has hit the target at least once in nine of his last ten Premier League matches, and combining him to do so once again, along with his side to win or draw the match, pays even money (1/1) with BoyleSports
Chris Wood to Score & Ryan Yates to be Carded (10/1 with BoyleSports)
It’s been a solid start to the season for Chris Wood, who has scored four goals in seven Premier League matches. Last season, he was the top-scorer for Forest, with 14 in the league, and he can find more joy against a Palace side that has failed to keep a clean sheet in their last six games on the road.
Ryan Yates is the player I’m targeting to pick up a card on Monday night. Last season, Yates averaged 0.27 cards per 90 minutes, but this season, he has already two yellows to his name in just three starts. The high increase in cards shown in the league this season makes appeal to the 3/1 on show as a single, and doubling him up with Wood to score pays 10/1 via the Bet Builder feature.

How to watch Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace live
Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace is scheduled for 8pm on Monday 21st October and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.
How both teams go into Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace
Hopes were high about Crystal Palace after their impressive start to life under Oliver Glasner. But the Eagles have faltered at the start of the new season. They are one of four teams still without victory in the Premier League and sit in the early relegation zone.
Palace opened the campaign with back-to-back defeats but looked to have steadied the ship with three consecutive draws. This run included draws against Chelsea and Manchester United. But the Eagles have lost their past two matches, beaten by Everton and Liverpool.
Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, will certainly be happy with their start of the season. The Tricky Trees have lived up to one of their nicknames, being extremely tough to beat. Fulham are the only side to have managed victory against Forest so far.
Although Forest have only won two games so far, one of those was a 1-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield. Since then it has been two draws and a defeat for Forest, who held Chelsea last time out.
Nottingham Forest host Crystal Palace at the City Ground on Monday 21st October at 8pm.
Nottingham Forest team news
James Ward-Prowse is suspended after his red card against Chelsea. Morgan Gibbs-White picked up an injury in the draw at Stamford Bridge, and Forest are currently awaiting further news. Ibrahim Sangare and Danilo are both out.
Crystal Palace team news
Cheick Doucoure could be in line to return from injury after the international break, while there could also be positive news about Chris Richards. But Matheus Franca, Daniel Munoz and Chadi Riad are all expected to miss out. Matt Turner will not be able to feature in the squad, on loan from Nottingham Forest.
Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace head-to-head
Nottingham Forest are unbeaten in their past seven games against Crystal Palace, though five of those have been draws. Crystal Palace last beat Forest in December 2011, when Glenn Murray scored the only goal in the Championship matchup.
