Nottingham Forest vs Brentford
*Odds correct as of 14:00 on September 30
Nottingham Forest will be looking to extend their unbeaten run at home in the Premier League to six matches when they host Brentford. Steve Cooper’s side have been a different animal at home than they have been away since the were promoted to the top flight in 2022, with 80% of their points coming at the City Ground during that period. Infact, they have lost just two of their last 17 home Premier League matches (W8 D7), with defeats against Newcastle in March and Man Utd in April.
In recent weeks, Forest have had some mixed results, beating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, drawing against Burnley at home and losing 2-0 to champions Manchester City at the Etihad, taking seven points from their opening six matches, so a win here would take them a quarter of the way to their first target of 40 points.
Brentford’s unbeaten start to the campaign ended in their previous away game, falling 1-0 to Newcastle thanks to a Callum Wilson penalty. Before that, the Bees had drawn three of their opening four matches against Tottenham, Palace and Bournemouth as well leaving Craven Cottage with all three points. Since then they have lost their last two games at home, with Everton becoming just the third side after Newcastle and Arsenal to leave the Community Stadium with three points in the Premier League since the start of last season and Arsenal themselves knocking them out of the League Cup.

Nottingham Forest vs Brentford match tip
The Nigerian marksman has continued his form from the end of the 2022/23 season into the 2023/24 campaign. After scoring in seven consecutive matches, Awoniyi then assisted in each of his next two to extend his run with a direct goal involvement to nine matches, but his long run finally came to an end in his last appearance away at Man City.
Awoniyi also boasts an incredible record at the City Ground where he has been directly involved in nine goals in his 10 home Premier League starts for Forest (7 goals, 2 assists), either scoring or assisting in eight of those matches, including the last five in a row (4 goals, 2 assists).
Nottingham Forest vs Brentford Bet-Builder tip
Both matches last season between these two sides were close affairs with the first match ending level in a 2-2 draw and Brentford needing a 94th minute strike from Josh Dasilva to earn all three points in a 2-1 win back in April. Christian Norgaard has picked up more yellow cards than any other Brentford player since the start of last season, with seven of them coming in 2023, while Taiwo Awoniyi has scored or assisted in his last five Premier League home matches.
