Newcastle United vs West Ham United

Newcastle United will be hoping to resume their winning run in the Premier League when they host West Ham United at St James’ Park on Monday, 25th November, at 8pm (UK time). The Magpies went into the international break off the back of consecutive wins over Arsenal and Nottingham Forest. West Ham, meanwhile, have failed to build on their win over Manchester United, taking one point from their next two matches. This game will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.

Newcastle United to win and BTTS (2/1 with BetMGM)

Alexander Isak to score anytime (11/10 with BetMGM)

Fully fit after injury, Alexander Isak is in good scoring form. The Swedish striker has scored in each of his past four games for Newcastle across all competitions.

He has also scored in every game he’s played against West Ham, netting five goals in three matches, with Tottenham Hotspur the only other team to suffer as much at his hands.

How both teams go into Newcastle United vs West Ham United

These two sides have had fairly different starts to the 2024-25 Premier League season. After 11 games, Newcastle sit eighth, but they’re just one point behind third-placed Chelsea. Things are extremely tight at the top. There have been rocky periods for Newcastle, including a five-game winless run that included three defeats. But Newcastle have bounced back at just the right time, with consecutive victories.

West Ham sit 14th with 12 points from their opening 11 games, but they haven’t been able to get a run going. The Hammers have won three matches in total, including two in October. But victories against Man United and Ipswich Town came either side of a 4-1 hammering to Tottenham Hotspur. The win over Man United was a controversial one, and they haven’t made it count. They’ve since lost for a fifth time this season before their draw with Everton.

Despite West Ham’s poor run, they know a good sequence of results could propel them up the table, with the Hammers still only six points behind Newcastle and seven adrift of Chelsea way up in third.
