Quinten Timber and Maarten de Roon have had to pull out of the squad due to injury and will miss Euro 2024. Frenkie de Jong is in the squad but is still unavailable due to injury, while Donyell Malen’s participation is unknown after he played in the Champions League final for Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
Jesse Marsch hasn’t sprung any big surprises with his first Canada squad for their friendlies against Netherlands and France, though there is a callup for uncapped Tani Oluwaseyi. Canada are also preparing for Copa America, which starts later this month.
