Napoli vs Real Madrid odds

*Odds correct as of 10:45 on October 02

Napoli’s Champions League opener against Braga was an exciting one for the neutrals, which eventually ended with the Italian side leaving Portugal with all three points. Rudi Garcia’s side went in front at Braga through captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo a minute into first-half added time, but were pegged back when the Portuguese side equalised with six minutes remaining, only for an 88th-minute own goal to decisively restore their advantage.

Madrid left it even later at home to Champions League newcomers Union Berlin on matchday one, Jude Bellingham marking his first European appearance for the club netted the only goal four minutes into added time, the second-latest winning goal for Real Madrid in a Champions League game on record (since 2003-04), after Álvaro Morata’s strike against Sporting CP in September 2016 (93:56). The Englishman also became the youngest ever player to score a 90th minute winning goal for Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Real Madrid have played the most games (305), had the most wins (183), scored the most goals (642) and have the highest win rate (60%) in Champions League history and are unbeaten in each of their last four UCL/European Cup matches against Napoli (W3, D1).

Napoli vs Real Madrid match tip

Jude Bellingham to score anytime @ 15/4 with Unibet

Jude Bellingham’s goalscoring form for Los Blancos continued at the weeekend, as he made it six goals in seven LaLiga matches for Real Madrid. The Englishman has scored five goals in five matches away from home as he looks to make it goals in back-to-back Champions League matches after scoring the winner against Union Berlin in match day one. His seven goals are already the most of any midfielder in the competition’s history before turning 21.

Pierluigi Gollini, Amir Rrahmani , Juan Jesus

Defensive pair Amir Rrahmani and Juan Jesus are set to miss out for Napoli ahead of their opening Champions League home match, so expect to see Leo Ostigard and Natan start at CB. Goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini has also been ruled out, but wasn’t expected to start anyway.

Real Madrid team news

In  Out Doubtful
Vinícius Júnior Arda Guler, Eder Militao, Thibaut Courtois David Alaba

Arda Guler, Eder Militao and Thibaut Courtois remain sidelined for the visitors while David Alaba is doubtful. Vinícius Júnior made his first start since August at the weekend and should keep his place in the starting XI after returning from injury. If Jude Bellingham is named in Real Madrid’s starting XI in this match, he’ll overtake Trent Alexander-Arnold (22 each) for the most Champions League starts by an English player aged under-21.
