Man City’s quest for a record-breaking fourth consecutive Premier League title has taken a hit in recent weeks. Three consecutive draws against Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham, as well as a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa, saw them fall six points off top spot heading towards Christmas. However, they bounced back with a narrow 2-1 victory over Luton and will be hoping to leave for the Club World Cup on another positive result

The Etihad is still a fortress however, with Man City going unbeaten in their 26 home games across all competitions in 2023, winning 24 of them. However, their two draws have come in each of their last two home games in the Premier League against Liverpool and Tottenham.

Crystal Palace, meanwhile, are starting to look down and not up after picking up just one win in their nine Premier League games since the start of October. Palace have had mixed results on the road this season however, picking up three wins, two draws and three defeats, with a 1-0 win over Manchester United meaning they are looking to do the Manchester double.

Over 10.5 corners @ 11/10 with BetMGM

Even if Erling Haaland isn’t fit to feature, you can expect Man City to pepper Crystal Palace’s goal. It’s usually the case for Man City, which leads to high corner rates, and Pep Guardiola’s side are averaging 6.38 corners per game in the Premier League this season. Crystal Palace, on the other side of this game, average 4.63 per game.

Man City vs Crystal Palace Bet-Builder tip

Over 3.5 goals and Rodri to be carded

When Manchester City play at home there are usually goals, with their last five games at the Etihad across all competitions averaging 4.6 goals per game and City themselves scoring 3+ in four of those five matches. However, the other side of their game is where Rodri shines. The Spaniard has conceded 21 fouls in the Premier League this season and been booked six times (as well as one red), the most of any Man City player.
