But the win over Man Utd was followed by a 6-1 hammering at the hands of Aston Villa, a result that really shocked the Premier League. Brighton hosted Liverpool in their final game before the international break and took an early lead before having to come from behind to seal a point.
This will be boss Roberto De Zerbi’s 51st match in charge of the Seagulls, with Brighton winning 24 of the previous 50, scoring a whopping 102 goals in the process.
