Borussia Dortmund can end their 11-year wait for Bundesliga glory this weekend when they take to, what will undoubtably be a decibel-defying Westfalenstadion. ‘The Yellow Wall’ will provide a cacophonous backdrop to a nerve-jangling affair, with Dortmund’s fate very much in their own hands.
Following Bayern Munich’s slip-up against RB Leipzig in their penultimate match of the campaign, the pendulum has dramatically swung in Dortmund’s favour, and they are now just 90 minutes away from wrestling the Meisterschale off their Der Klassiker rivals — a scenario that seemed unlikely when they squandered a 97th-minute equaliser to 10-man Stuttgart last month.
