Another Premier League classic?

Bournemouth and Luton set to head-to-head once again in the Premier League less than a month after playing out  a record equalling game at Kenilworth Road.

The Hatters raced into a three goal lead thanks to strikes from Tahith Chong, Chiedozie Ogbene and Ross Barkley before the break, but Bournemouth came back and did the unthinkable in the second half. Three goals in 14 second half minutes from Dominic Solanke, Illia Zabarnyi and Antoine Semenyo saw the away side level the game before the latter completed an incredible comeback in the 83rd minute to shock the home faithful.

The Cherries became just the third team in Premier League history to win a match in which they trailed by three goals at half-time, after Manchester United (v Tottenham in September 2001) and Wolves (v Leicester in October 2003).  Including that game, they are now on another unbeaten run under Andoni Iraola.

After going seven league games without a win (D3, L4), Bournemouth are now unbeaten in each of their last five Premier League matches, beating Burnley, Luton, Everton and Crystal Palace as well as drawing with Sheffield United and will be confident of completing the double over a Luton side who are three points adrift of safety.

After a run of six matches without defeat across all competitions between Janauary and February, things have taken a turn for the worse for Rob Edwards’ men. They are now without a win in their last 10 games (D2 L8) and know if things don’t improve swiflty, then they will find themselves back in the Championship at the first time of asking.
