*Odds correct as of 18:00 on September 23

After an underwhelming campaign last season, Liverpool have been quick to prove that it was merely a fluke, returning to winning ways in the Premier League. The Reds are one of four sides yet to taste defeat in the Premier League this season and they sit five points behind early leaders Manchester City (with a game in hand). Liverpool opened the campaign with a draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge but have won four straight league matches since. The run started with a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth and has continued with wins against Newcastle, Aston Villa and Wolves. It extended into their Europa League opener too, with Liverpool beating LASK in midweek.

West Ham also had a positive start to the Premier League season but must now bounce back from their first defeat. Like Liverpool, West Ham are looking to put last season firmly behind them as they battled relegated despite winning the Europa Conference League. The Hammers stared the season with a draw against Bournemouth but then won three on the bounce, beating Chelsea, Brighton and Luton. However, their winning start did come to an end last weekend, beaten 3-1 by Man City. There was a Europa League win in midweek though, with the Hammers beating Backa Toppola.

Liverpool vs West Ham match tip

Liverpool to win & BTTS @ 6/4 with Midnite

Liverpool have won five of their six games across all competitions this season, but they haven’t made things easy for themselves. In four of those victories, the Reds have had to come from behind after conceding the opening goal of the match. That was the case last weekend against Wolves and again in midweek as LASK went 1-0 up, though both matches ended 3-1 to Liverpool.

Liverpool vs West Ham Bet-Builder tip

Liverpool lead at HT > Over 2.5 Goals  > Mohamed Salah to score anytime

However, it’s worth noting that things have been slightly more comfortable for Liverpool at home this season. The Reds have scored twice in the first half in both of their Premier League matches at Anfield this season, leading at half-time on both occasions. And Mohamed Salah is running the show at Anfield, either scoring or assisting in his last 11 home league matches.
