Liverpool vs PSG Odds
How both teams go into Liverpool vs PSG
Although the game may not have gone how Liverpool would have wanted, they got the result. Arne Slot’s side were under fire at the Parc des Princes, facing 27 shots and 1.78 Expected Goals. But, Alisson made nine saves, the most of any Liverpool goalkeeper in a single Champions League match since at least 2003-04. And in the 87th minute, Liverpool scored with just their second shot of the game, with Harvey Elliott the goalscoring hero. It puts Liverpool in a strong position, knowing they have the Anfield crowd behind them. The Reds are perfect at home in the Champions League this season, winning all four of their matches.
PSG are on a good run away from home in the Champions League, and they’ll need to hope that continues, or another year goes by without European glory. After losing their first two away games in the Champions League this season, PSG have won their past three. This includes a 0-3 win over fellow French side Brest in the knockout stage playoffs – has part of their 7-0 aggregate victory. The defeat to Liverpool in the first leg did end a 10-game winning run for PSG across all competitions.
Liverpool team news
Cody Gakpo missed the first leg against PSG through injury but he is expected to have recovered in time for the return fixture. Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley are both out.
PSG team news
PSG look to have no injury worries at the moment, with Warren Zaire-Emery recently returning from a brief layoff. But PSG boss Luis Enrique will want to take a look at his team, having failed to score despite dominating the first leg.
Liverpool vs PSG head-to-head
This will be the sixth meeting between Liverpool and PSG. The win at the Parc des Princes in the first leg saw Liverpool take the lead in the head-to-head, winning three games to PSG’s two.
