Liverpool vs Fulham

Liverpool will be looking to continue their fantastic start to the 2024-25 Premier League campaign when they host Fulham at Anfield on Saturday 14th December at 3pm.

The Reds are currently four points clear at the top of the table, with a game in hand, and odds-on favourites to win the title. Fulham are currently 10th, but only four points outside the top four.

Liverpool to win, BTTS, Mo Salah to score anytime and Curtis Jones over 1.5 shots (13/2 with Sky Bet)

Liverpool have won four of their past six games against Fulham, including the past three at Anfield. But Fulham have scored in five of those six matches. On their last league visit to Anfield, Fulham scored three in a 4-3 defeat. Mohamed Salah has both scored and assisted in each of his past three home league games for Liverpool. Curtis Jones has averaged a shot per game in the Premier League this season.

Over 2.5 Goals, Sasa Lukic and Ryan Gravenberch to be carded (28/1 with Bet365)

This game has certainly produced goals in recent times, with an average of 3.4 goals over the last five meetings in all competitions. Eight of Liverpool’s games this season have beaten the 2.5 goal line, including three of their last five, whilst seven of Fulham’s games have seen more than 2.5 goals. Lukic has been booked six times in all competitions this season and has already served a one game suspension. Gravenberch has been booked four times in the league and is one booking away from a suspension of his own.

How both teams go into Liverpool vs Fulham

Life under Arne Slot could hardly be going better. After 14 games, Liverpool sit four points clear at the top of the table. They’ve won 11 of their 14 matches, only dropping points in a defeat to Nottingham Forest, draws with Arsenal and Newcastle. Liverpool also passed their biggest test with a 2-0 win over Manchester City. If Liverpool can keep the run going until Christmas, it’ll be hard to see them not going on to win the title.

Fulham have had a decent start to the new season, though consistency has been their problem. The Cottagers have won six of their opening 15 games, but they are just four points outside the top four. They’ve scored 22 goals and conceded 20, which shows just where they are this season. Fulham did return from the November international break in unfortunate form, winless in two but put an end to that run with a victory over Brighton and draw with Arsenal.

Liverpool team news

Ibrahima Konate remains out for Liverpool, while Conor Bradley is also expected to be absent due to injury. Attacking pair Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa also remain absent. Alexis MacAllister is suspended for this game.

Fulham team news

Tom Cairney still misses out due to suspension for his red card against Tottenham. Joachim Andersen and Harrison Reed won’t be back from injury, whilst Reiss Nelson remains out. Calvin Bassey is suspended after picking up five bookings so far this season.

Liverpool vs Fulham head-to-head

Liverpool have only lost one of their past 14 games against Fulham across all competitions. Since the 1-0 defeat in March 2021, Liverpool have won four and drawn two of the past six.
