Liverpool vs Everton odds
Liverpool went into the international break without a win in two matches, bringing their five-game winning run to an end. The winning run lifted them high up the table, amongst the early leaders, but that was ended by their controversial defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. In the next game, Liverpool had tough opposition in Brighton, and were pegged back with just under 15 minutes left to play, ultimately having to settle for a 2-2 draw. It means Liverpool are fourth, three points behind leaders Tottenham and Arsenal.
This will be Liverpool’s seventh kick-off on a Saturday following an international break across the last five seasons, which is at least four more games than any other side during that time. The Reds do boast an impressive record during those matches however, winning four of their previous six and keeping three clean sheets.
Everton, meanwhile, enjoyed a little turnaround before the break that they will be hoping continues. After taking just one point from their opening five matches, a 2-2 draw against Sheffield United, Everton have now won two of their last three. The first league victory of the season came against Brentford, but the Toffees were then beaten 2-1 by Luton — handing the Hatters their first victory. But Everton were brilliant in their final game before the break, a 3-0 victory over Bournemouth at Goodison Park, bringing the Toffees up to 16th.
This is still a little bit low in comparison to their underlying performance metrics. Their expected goal ratio and expected points have Everton firmly in the top half. Sean Dyche will certainly be hoping that their results begin to mirror those performance metrics sooner rather than later.
This is a fixture that the Toffees usually dread however having won just one Premier League game at Anfield this millennium, conceding 42 times and scoring just 14 in their last 23 away matches against Liverpool.

Liverpool vs Everton match tip
Everton may have won at Anfield as recently as 2021, but that was a rare occurrence, and fans weren’t able to celebrate in the stadium. The win was the only time Everton have beaten Liverpool in 28 meetings, a run that stretches back over 10 years. Everton also haven’t scored in their past three games against Liverpool, but the Reds have been very leaky in defence this season, keeping just one clean sheet in the league so far.
Liverpool vs Everton Bet-Builder tip
Mohamed Salah to score > Over 2.5 goals > Under 4.5 cards
Derbies are usually fiery affairs, and with referees being less lenient with bookings, you may expect this fixture to be full of cards. However, both Liverpool and Everton have been pretty well behaved with regards to yellow cards this season. Despite their four red cards, Liverpool are averaging just 1.88 yellows per game in the Premier League this season, with Everton (1.63) one of just four teams to get fewer. In terms of goals, Mohamed Salah has been in fantastic form for Liverpool this season, carrying them at times. The Egyptian has scored in all three league games at Anfield so far, also netting two against Brighton last time out.
The Egyptian has been involved in 27 goals in his last 23 Premier League appearances for Liverpool (16 goals, 11 assists) and he’s scored or assisted in each of his last 12 league games at Anfield (12 goals, 3 assists).
