With two qualifying games left to play, defending European champions Italy still have some work to do. The Azzurri are currently third in group C, three points behind second-placed Ukraine though they have played one game fewer. If Italy win this, however, they only need to avoid defeat in their final game against Ukraine to qualify due to a better head-to-head record.
