Hungary vs Montenegro Euro 2024 qualifier predictions: Tips, odds and team news
Hungary and Montenegro will close their Euro 2024 qualifying campaigns when they face off on Sunday at 2pm (UK time).
Hungary vs Montenegro odds
Hungary booked their spot at Euro 2024 thanks to a 97th-minute own goal from Aleks Petkov last time out against Bulgaria, as they secured the point they needed to make it to Germany next summer in a 2-2 draw. They currently sit top of the group, two points clear of Serbia in second and four points clear of third-placed Montenegro. Hungary are unbeaten in their seven games, winning four and drawing three. One of the draws did come in the reverse fixture against Montenegro, with the other a 2-2 draw against Lithuania last time out.
Montenegro, meanwhile, could still join their opponents at Euro 2024, but it isn’t directly in their hands. First, Montenegro will need to end Hungary’s unbeaten run in Group G and hope Serbia lose to Bulgaria. It’s a precarious position for Montenegro to be in, but they haven’t been the best in qualifying, with three wins, two draws and two defeats from their six games so far with a zero goal difference.

Hungary vs Montenegro match tip
Highest scoring half: 2nd @ 11/10 with Bet365
Montenegro’s matches in Euro 2024 qualifying have been all about the second half. Scoring six and conceding eight overall, just three of the 14 goals in Montenegro’s matches have come before half-time. After half-time, all 11 goals have come in the 70th minute or later, including all four in a 2-2 draw against Lithuania in September. Talk about late drama.
Hungary vs Montenegro Bet-Builder tip
BTTS >Hungary to win > Dominik Szoboszlai to score anytime
Hungary are unbeaten in their past 10 games, a run which stretches back to last year when they were beaten 2-0 by Italy in the UEFA Nations League. Since then, Hungary have won six and drawn four. However, they face a Montenegro side that have scored in each of their past five games, since the goalless draw between these two sides in June. Montenegro have also conceded in each of their past five games, and Dominik Szoboszlai will take up a lot of the attacking responsibilities for Hungary, with two goals in qualifying so far.
