Germany vs Turkey international friendly predictions: Tips, odds and team news
Germany continue their round of friendlies with a game against Turkey on Saturday at 7:45pm (UK time).
Germany vs Turkey odds
As hosts of Euro 2024, Germany have skipped qualifying for the tournament, which means they have spent 2023 playing various friendlies and they haven’t been having a good time. Starting the year with a win over Peru, Germany then went five games without victory, losing four with their only positive result a draw against Ukraine. A 4-1 defeat to Japan proved to be the final straw for the DFB, who sacked Hansi Flick in the aftermath. Germany won their very next game, a 2-1 friendly victory over France, before Julian Nagelsmann took charge. The former Bayern Munich boss won his opening game against USA before a draw with Mexico last month. There are positive signs.
For Turkey, this is a chance to fine-tune their squad ahead of their final Euro 2024 qualifier against Wales next week. Turkey have already secured their spot at next summer’s tournament, winning five of their seven games so far, only dropping points in a draw against Armenia and defeat to Croatia. Those are really the only blips for Turkey this year, aside from a friendly defeat to Japan who were proving high-scoring in the September international break.

Germany vs Turkey match tip
Niclas Fullkrug to score anytime @ 11/10 with Midnite
Niclas Fullkrug had been struggling to find his footing at Borussia Dortmund, but with two goals in his last two matches his confidence is rising. The striker boasts an impressive record of nine goals in 11 games for Germany since his debut a year ago. Fullkrug, who scored on debut, has only failed to find the net three times for Germany — drawing blanks against Japan at the World Cup, and against Poland and Colombia in friendlies in June. After missing the September friendlies through injury, Fullkrug marked his return last month with goals against USA and Mexico.
Germany vs Turkey Bet-Builder tip
Despite Germany going unbeaten in their last three games, including two under Julian Nagelsmann, there are still some signs of a weakened defence. They haven’t kept a clean sheet in their past eight games since a 2-0 win over Peru in March, while Turkey have scored in each of their last six. However, Germany have scored at least twice in each of their last three games, and are unbeaten in their last four against Turkey.

Germany have scored at least twice in each of their last three games.
Germany vs Turkey team news
Manuel Neuer is still absent from the Germany squad despite his return from injury, and Bernd Leno has also dropped out from October’s squad. Robin Gosen, Malick Thiaw, Nico Schlotterbeck and Felix Nmecha have all had to drop out due to injury, while Jamal Musiala is among those not selected. Oliver Baumann, Janis Blaswich, Robert Andrich, Grischa Promel and Marvin Ducksch are all uncapped and hoping for a first appearance.
Despite there being little on the line for this international break, Turkey have gone strong with their squad. Cengiz Under and Halil Dervisoglu are the main names missing out, though they weren’t involved last month, due to injury issues and lack of playing time respectively. Ozan Kabak also misses out despite recovering from a shoulder injury.
