Fulham vs Crystal Palace prediction, stats, tips & team news

Fulham will host Crystal Palace in an FA Cup quarter-final match at Craven Cottage on Saturday, March 29. The game can be seen live on ITV1 at 12:15pm, and we’ve asked our man Anthony Eadson to preview the action and provide us with his best bets.

Sander Berge Over 1.5 Fouls Committed (13/8 with bet365)

With a place in a semi-final at Wembley on the line we should see plenty of fouls on Saturday. The one I like the look of in the fouls committed is Sander Berge, who is best priced at 13/8 to clear the Over 1.5 line. Some firms such as Sky Bet, have this selection priced odds-on, but the 13/8 certainly looks a bet when you consider it’s landed in his last four league matches. Looking back a little further, this bet has clicked in six of his last eight, with totals of 2,2,2,2,1,1,3 & 2.

Eberechi Eze 1+ Shot on Target & Sander Berge to be Carded (7/1 with Sky Bet)

Eberechi Eze scored a deflected goal for England against Latvia on Monday and is one of the best when it comes to letting shots off. Eze averages 4 shots per game across his last four appearances for Palace and I’m backing him to land at least one between the sticks against Fulham.

Paired with Eze to have a shot on target is Berge to be carded. The Norwegian has seen yellow in four of his last 12 league appearances, and taking into consideration the game context here, along with his number of fouls of late, he looks a solid proposition for a booking.

How both teams go into Fulham vs Crystal Palace

Fulham began their latest FA Cup campaign at home against Watford, winning 4-1. A trip to former winners Wigan followed, and Marco Silva’s men claimed a 2-1 victory. Defending champions Manchester United were next in the fifth round, and the Londoners went in front through Calvin Bassey before Bruno Fernandes levelled, leading to a penalty shoot-out which the Cottagers won 4-3. This secured a second quarter-final appearance in two seasons; Fulham last reached the semi-finals in 2002, when their west London rivals eliminated them en route to facing Arsenal in Cardiff. Crystal Palace started with a narrow FA Cup third-round success over Stockport County before overcoming Doncaster Rovers, which set up a London derby with Millwall that saw leading marksman Jean-Philippe Mateta come off with an early injury. Palace, nevertheless, ran out 3-1 winners. The Eagles are chasing a second semi-final berth after reaching the 2016 final.

Fulham team news

Reiss Nelson is out for the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery to deal with a thigh injury. Harry Wilson and Kenny Tete both join him in the physio room while Sasa Lukic returns from suspension after accumulating his tenth yellow card of the season.

Crystal Palace team news

Chadi Riad and Cheick Doucouré will not be available for Crystal Palace until next season, with both recovering from knee injuries. Will Hughes is sidelined through suspension, while Jean-Philippe Mateta should return after his injury in the previous round. However, there is no return date for Joel Ward, who is dealing with a calf strain.

Fulham vs Crystal Palace head-to-head

Fulham have won only two of their previous 11 meetings with Crystal Palace (four losses and five draws).
