Chelsea have had a bit of an odd time recently. The Blues looked to be back on track after three consecutive wins, beating Crystal Palace, Luton and Preston after Christmas. However, that run came to an end in midweek as Chelsea suffered a shock defeat in the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final against Middlesbrough. Before they can get their revenge, Chelsea’s attention must turn to the Premier League and their quest to climb up the table. They will be confident of a result against their West London rivals however, with Mauricio Pochettino boasting a 100% record against them (6/6) and the Blues never losing a single home Premier League game against Fulham at Stamford Bridge.

Fulham, meanwhile, ended 2023 with a win over Arsenal which brought an end to their three-game losing streak in the Premier League. It added a bit more comfort in their surprising fight against relegation, now nine points clear of the relegation zone. Fulham were never considered to be in danger, but it was getting a bit close. They built on that victory over Arsenal by beating Rotherham in the FA Cup but, like Chelsea, lost in their EFL Cup semi-final first leg.

It has been a tough time for the Cottagers away from home, losing their last four Premier League games on the road, conceding 3+ goals each time and they could not have picked a worst game to try an end the run. Marco Silva’s side have won just one of their last 23 Premier League games against the Blues (D8 L14) and have never won away at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea vs Fulham match tip

Half Time/Full Time: Draw/Chelsea @ 21/5 with SBK

Chelsea haven’t had a good season but they do stand alone in one aspect. The Blues are the only side yet to trail at half time in the Premier League this season. Of their 20 games so far, Chelsea have been level 15 times, while ahead on just five occasions. However, it is worth noting that one of the five times in which Chelsea had led at the break did come against Fulham.
