Fulham vs Brentford odds
There was a good battle between these two sides to be the top club in west London last season and it was Brentford who eventually came out on top, finishing a quite comfortable seven points clear of Fulham, though both finished in the top half of the table. It was another good campaign for the Bees in the Premier League as they look to cement themselves as a top-flight side and they were just two points outside the European places, which will surely be an aim this season. Brentford have been busy this summer too, signing Nathan Collins, Kevin Schade and Mark Flekken while also adding depth to their B team. That all culminated in a back-and-forth 2-2 draw with Spurs to open to the season last week in a match which showed plenty of promise for the Bees, but also highlighted a few flaws.
Fulham, meanwhile, were enjoying their return to the Premier League last season after promotion from the Championship and it’s fair to say they outperformed expectations. While nobody had Fulham down as certain relegation candidates, there were some predicting the Cottagers would struggle, particularly due to their previous Premier League campaigns. But Marco Silva led Fulham to a top-half finish, seven points clear of 11th-placed Crystal Palace. There were worries over the summer that Fulham hadn’t appropriately strengthened their squad, but a 1-0 win away at Everton to open the season should inspire some confidence.

Fulham vs Brentford match tip
Bryan Mbeumo to score anytime @ 11/5 with Betfair
With Ivan Toney sidelined, Brentford are going to rely a lot more on Bryan Mbuemo to get them goals this season, and he has shown himself to be a capable replacement. Last season, Mbeumo scored nine goals in the Premier League, bettered only by Toney at Brentford, while also adding eight assists. Mbuemo opened his account this season from the penalty spot last week against Tottenham.
Fulham vs Brentford Bet-Builder tip
Bryan Mbeumo to score or assist, BTTS, Draw, Kenny Tete to be carded
It’s clear Mbeumo will be a livewire for Brentford, and he’s likely to give Fulham’s full-backs a hard time. Kenny Tete was booked at Everton last week and picked up eight yellow cards in the Premier League last season — he might well suffer a similar fate this time around. Games between these two last season were high scoring so expect both to hit the net, though it could be another frustrating draw for Brentford.
Brentford have won five and drawn four of their last nine league London derbies.
Aleksandar Mitrovic was Fulham's top scorer on 14 goals last season but looks set to leave the club.
Last season's Premier League matches between these two sides brought 10 goals scored.
