Frankfurt vs Bayern Munich odds
Heading into this latest Bundesliga round, defending champions Bayern Munich find themselves in second place on 32 points. Thomas Tuchel’s men’s recent league outing saw them run out 1-0 winners at FC Cologne, extending their winning streak to six games.
Harry Kane — who is the first player in Bundesliga history to score 18 goals after 12 matchdays of a season — netted in each of his last five league appearances but has never managed a longer run in league games in his career. This will be his third meeting with Frankfurt after facing them in last season’s Champions League with Tottenham (one goal and one assist).
Someone more familiar with this week’s opponents is Leroy Sane who has scored more Bundesliga goals against Frankfurt than any other club (four), while he’s only been directly involved in more Bundesliga goals against Borussia Dortmund (eight) than against Eintracht (six).
That said, he’s blanked in his last three Bundesliga appearances though created four goals in the process. The former Manchester City is quietly enjoying a productive campaign; he currently ranks top five across Europe’s top seven leagues in the following metrics: take-on completed: 49 (3), assists: 6 (=3), chances created: 42 (5) and big chances created: 10 (=3).
Sane is currently on 14 total goal involvements which is one fewer than his best return for Bayern in a Bundesliga season: 15 (2022/23 and 2020/21 across 32 games).
On the subject of dribbling, it was also confirmed on Wednesday Bayern will add even more flair to their front line next summer. Bryan Zaragoza, the 22-year-old Granada winger who has completed more dribbles (40) than any La Liga player this season so far, will sign for a reported £13 million fee.
Bayern say they made the transfer because, “Bryan Zaragoza is an explosive, very quick and extremely nimble winger, who can play on either side. He’s unpredictable, can score and is very good one-v-one.”
Frankfurt, meanwhile, suffered two consecutive home defeats across all competitions for the first time since September 2022, having lost only two of the previous 26 competitive fixtures at Deutsche Bank Park. A longer losing sequence last occurred in January/February 2022 (four losses). The former Europa League champions are currently in seventh place on 18 points after winning four of their opening 13 matches but only losing three times.
