France U23 2-1 Argentina U23 @ 8/1 with Bet365

Michael Olise First Goalscorer @ 8/1 with Paddy Power
Coming off a Premier League campaign where he scored 10 goals and provided six assists in just 19 appearances, Michael Olise has continued his fine form at Olympics with a goal and two assists in just 206 minutes of action.
BTTS In The Second Half @ 5/2 with Sky Bet
Six of France’s seven goals at the 2024 Olympics have come in the second half of games, while Argentina found the back of the net in the second half in all of their group stage matches.
In what will hopefully be the match of the Olympic Games, hosts France face 2004 and 2008 gold medal winners Argentina in the quarter-finals on Friday evening, with both sides hoping to move one step closer to the final.
Thierry Henry’s French side blitzed through the group stages with three wins and three clean sheets against USA, Guinea and New Zealand, looking comfortable on home soil as they look to win just their second Olympic Gold Medal in men’s football after their success in 1984. As the old saying goes if you want to be the best then you have to beat the best, and that is the case here when they face their toughest test yet at the 2024 games against the two-time Olympic gold medalists Argentina.
La Albiceleste didn’t have it all their own way in the group stages, losing to Morocco in the opening game in bizarre fashion, having their injury time equaliser ruled out by VAR 92 minutes after the game finished when they were forced to play the final three minutes of the game later on in the day after crowd trouble.
They followed it up with back-to-back wins against Iraq and Ukraine to book their place in the final eight however, with head-coach Javier Mascherano looking to win his third gold medal, after winning two as a player back in 2004 and 2008.
France U23 face Argentina U23 at 8pm (UK time) on Friday 2nd August at Matmut Atlantique, Bordeaux.
France U23 team news
Michael Olise and Alexandre Lacazette should both return to the starting line-up after being rested against New Zealand, so expect Doue and Kalimuendo to drop down to the bench. Enzo Millot is still struggling with an injury.
Argentina U23 team news
Lucas Beltran played 45 minutes against Ukraine and will be pushing for a starting spot alongside Julian Alvarez up top, but don’t expect Javier Mascherano to make too many other changes.
