FCSB vs Manchester United predictions, odds, betting tips & team news

Adrian Sut 2+ Shots (7/2 with Paddy Power)

The only way the visitors would not finish inside the top eight on Thursday is if they lose, and five of the eight teams directly below them win. The situation isn’t quite simple for FCSB, who realistically need to win to stay in the top eight. Given their impressive record in this competition, the Romanian champions may prioritise this game in a way that United might not.

Adrian Sut looks well overpriced in the shots market with Paddy Power. The midfielder has recorded at least two shots in two of his last eight matches for FCSB, and with bet365 having this same selection at just 6/4, the 7/2 with Paddy Power looks well worth taking.

Adrian Sut 2+ Shots on Target (25/1 with Paddy Power

Sut scored two goals in Bucharest’s 3-2 win over Qarabag in the Europa League seven days ago. A repeat of him hitting the target twice or more against United pays 25/1, and after at least one on-target in six of his last seven, he makes plenty of appeal. He’s also a significant threat at set-pieces, and his side rank 5th in the Europa League this season for shots taken from set-pieces.

How both teams go into FCSB vs Manchester United

After securing qualification for the revamped Europa League tournament, FCSB started strong, achieving a 4-1 victory over Rigas FS and collecting three more points at PAOK. However, the Romanian team faced a setback with a 4-0 loss to Rangers. Since then, they have improved, winning against Midtjylland and recording consecutive goalless draws against Olympiakos and Hoffenheim, along with a win over Qarabag. This leaves them in 8th place, ensuring their advancement to the knockout phase playoffs, where they will be seeded.

On the other hand, Manchester United have experienced a significant turnaround. After three consecutive draws under Erik ten Hag—each time dropping points from a winning position—the Red Devils are currently on a four-game winning streak with Ruben Amorim in charge. They eventually defeated PAOK and managed wins against Bodø/Glimt, Viktoria Plzen and Rangers. This run of form puts the record English champions in third place, securing one of the positions that will guarantee safe passage into the Round of 16.
