Everton vs Fulham prediction, stats, tips and team news: Keane a generous price to be carded at Goodison
Everton host Fulham in the Premier League with both sides looking to build some momentum. After making a profit last weekend, Dean Woodward returns with his best bets and match preview.
Two Everton vs Fulham predictions
Michael Keane 1+ Foul Committed (5/6 with Paddy Power)
This could be a great battle between these two sides at Goodison. There are some great matchups to get stuck into, but one that stands out is how the Everton defenders will deal with Raul Jiminez up top.
The Mexican striker has been fouled in all of his starts this season. Last time out against Villa, both centre backs fouled him twice, with Diego Carlos and Pau Torres bringing him down.
Both James Tarkowski and Michael Keane will have their hands full, but with Tarkowski a pretty short price in the fouls market, and with some bookies offering 5/6 on Michael Keane giving away 1+ foul, that looks a very solid play. Keane has made eight fouls across his last eight games for Everton in all comps, and I see that trend continuing. It has now been eleven straight games that the LCB facing Fulham has committed a foul, which looks likely to be twelve come Saturday night if Keane continues his fouling form.
Michael Keane to be Carded (6/1 with bet365)
Following on a similar trend involving centre-backs against Fulham, I think it’s worth taking a small play on Keane to go into the book yet again at a very generous price.
Given his recent record, I am really surprised to see 6/1 available with 365 or 11/2 with Sky; while he is priced as short as 5/2 with some books, I think that price is much closer to fair.
His aggressive nature has already resulted in him being booked three times this season, with all three bookings coming in his last six matches, going into the book against Bournemouth, Leicester and Ipswich last weekend. Jiminez will likely come off early, but it won’t get any easier for the Everton defenders, as he will likely be replaced by Rodrigo Muniz, who is a foul-drawing machine, drawing a foul in his last sixteen starts, hitting two or more in the majority of those.

How both teams go into Everton vs Fulham
Some of the early alarm bells regarding Everton’s prospects have started to go quiet, with the Toffees putting together a four-game unbeaten run prior to this match, picking up eight points. The Toffees have two league wins to their name from eight matches and remain 16th in the table, but they’ll hope to head into this match off the back of another positive result away at Ipswich Town.
Meanwhile, Fulham have lost away at Man Utd and Man City this season, sitting tenth in the table and six points off the top four. Last time out, Fulham were beaten 3-1 at home to Aston Villa. Marco Silva’s men have now conceded 11 goals, but they will look to improve on their offensive output of the same number, starting with this match.
Everton team news
Armando Broja, James Garner, and Youssef Chermiti are all confirmed absentees for the hosts. Jarrad Branthwaite is a doubt, and is unlikely to start the game.
Fulham team news
Carlos Vinicius, Sasa Lukic and Timothy Castagne are all out, and we won’t see Jorge Cuenca until early November at least. Joachim Andersen is suspended following his red card against Aston Villa.
