How to watch England vs Finland live

England vs Finland is scheduled for 7:45pm (UK time) on Tuesday 10th September and will be shown in the UK on Premier Sports.

How both teams go into England vs Finland

The Three Lions’ quest to return to League A continues when they welcome Finland to Wembley.

After a heartbreaking defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final, Gareth Southgate’s time as England manager finally came to an end. Despite getting them to back-to-back European Championship finals, he just could not get them over the line and win a major international trophy for the first time since 1966.

Now under U21 head coach Lee Carsley, for the time being at least, the Three Lions will look to build on the good foundations set by Southgate and return back to League A of the Nations League after being relegated to League B in 2023.

Carsley’s opening game in charge saw the Three Lions pick up a victory, with a comprehensive win against Ireland. England, especially in the first half, looked like a side rejuvenated as they took the game to their Irish counterparts having more shots on goal than they managed in any Euro 2024 game bar one.

They now face a Finland side that never beaten England across any competition, losing eight and drawing two of the 11 matches between the two countries. However, with just one win from their four matches in 2024, it is unlikely that they end that run at Wembley.

Finland’s Nations League campaign got off to a losing start, with Greece running out 3-0 winners when the two sides met at the weekend.

England host Finland at Wembley on Tuesday 10th September at 7:45pm (UK time).

England team news

Jude Bellingham will miss out after picking up an injury with Real Madrid. Phil Foden, Cole Palmer and Ollie Watkins all withdrew from the squad prior to the Ireland game.

Finland team news

Finland have named their squad for the match with England, with Exeter City’s Ilmari Niskanen being the only player who plys their trade in England.

England vs Finland head-to-head

The Three Lions are unbeaten in all 11 of their meetings against Finland (W9 D2), but Finland’s draws have both come in the previous four head-to-head matches.
