Dinamo Zagreb vs Celtic
Celtic will look to continue their impressive Champions League campaign when they travel to Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday, December 10th, at 5:45pm (UK time). The match will be broadcast live in the United Kingdom on TNT Sports.
Both Teams to Score & Celtic Double Chance (odds TBC)
First up, I’m backing Celtic to Win or draw the match and both teams to score at 11/10 with bet365. The Bhoys have only been beaten once this season in the Champions League, which came away at Dortmund at the start of October. Since then, they have been unbeaten in three, with a point against Atalanta and Club Brugge and a sensational 3-1 home victory over RB Leipzig.
Both of these teams sit just inside the top 24, which would see them advance to the playoffs, and a draw would suit both teams here. Dinamo have scored in four of their five matches, including two against Bayern, Monaco and Salzburg.
Daizen Maeda anytime goalscorer
I’m going one further with my longshot at 9/1, opting for Celtic to Win and both teams to score. Brendan Rodgers’ men have not tasted defeat in their last 13 matches across all formats (W10 D3) and look to be growing in confidence in Europe after a trio of positive results.
Three of their goals in Europe’s most elite club competition have arrived courtesy of Daizen Maeda. The Japanese forward has managed 10 goals in total for Celtic since the start of the campaign, hitting the net in Champions League matches against Slovan Bratislava, Borussia Dortmund and most recently, Club Brugge. I’ve already mentioned how I envisage goals for both sides in this 5:45pm kick-off and adding Maeda to score to the bet builder pays 9/1.

How both teams go into Dinamo Zagreb vs Celtic
Dinamo Zagreb must have been fearing the worst when Bayern Munich thrashed them 9-2 back in September. But since then, they’ve recovered relatively well, taking a point against Monaco and beating Slovan Bratislava and RB Salzburg before a heavy 3-0 defeat to Dortmund in their last European outing. The Croatian champions sit 23rd in the Champions League table, just above Real Madrid and PSG and safely inside the qualification spots.
Things are even better for Celtic, who are three places and one point ahead with just one defeat from five continental matches. Like Dinamo, Celtic’s loss was a heavy one to German opposition, going down 7-1 away at Borussia Dortmund. But around that, they’ve beaten Slovan Bratislava and RB Leipzig, while taking important points away at Atalanta and at home to Club Brugge. That loss to Dortmund is the Hoops’ only defeat in any competition so far this season.
Dinamo Zagreb team news
Dinamo Zagreb will be without their experienced striker, Bruno Petkovic, who has a groin issue. Petar Sucic, Josip Misic and Juan Cordoba are also sidelined with injuries.
Celtic team news
Odin Thiago Holm is Celtic’s only fitness concern for the trip to Croatia. Nicolas Kuhn was substituted at half time against Hibs, but Brendan Rodgers confined that was purely for tactical reasons.
