Czech Republic vs Turkey Euro 2024 Prediction: A Key Group F Clash

The Czech Republic and Turkey go head-to-head in their final match of Euro 2024 Group F with a place in the knockout rounds at stake.
Czech Republic vs Turkey Euro 2024 Prediction: A vital Group F clash
Czech Republic vs Turkey Latest Prediction
As the final match in Group F, this meeting will be vital in deciding who qualifies for the Euro 2024 knockout stages. Turkey are currently second with three points from two games, beating Georgia 3-1 before behind thrashed 3-0 by Portugal. The Czech Republic, meanwhile, remain stuck on one point, narrowly losing 2-1 to Portugal before barely managing a 1-1 draw against Georgia, who missed a late chance to win the game after riding out intense Czech pressure.
If the Czech Republic beats Turkey, they will advance to the round of 16, at least as the best third-placed team. If they draw and Georgia does not win, they will finish third, but may not advance. Ivan Hašek’s team will not be able to reach the round of 16 if they lose, even if they finish third ahead of Georgia.
As for Turkey, they will advance to the round of 16 as group runners-up if they avoid defeat. They will finish third, but may not advance, if they lose and Georgia does not beat Portugal. Vincenzo Montella’s team will not be able to reach the round of 16 in fourth place if they lose and Georgia beat Portugal.
Turkey’s gung-ho approach has seen them concede five goals so far, although they did look a threat going forward against Georgia, scoring three times including one wonderful strike from Real Madrid starlet Arda Guler.
Czech Republic’s first two games have seen them both score and concede, as Portugal scored two late goals to come from behind to beat them in Matchday One before a 1-1 draw with Georgia last time out, a game they perhaps could’ve lost after Saba Lobzhanidze blazed a guilt-edged chance over the bar in stoppage time.

Czech Republic Latest Team News
Despite picking up five yellow cards against Georgia, the Czech Republic have no suspensions to worry about ahead of their final group game. They will, however, be seriously worried about Euro 2020 joint-top scorer Patrik Schick, who was subbed out injured after scoring against Georgia — although the Bayer Leverkusen man has already posted on social media celebrating his goal and talking up the importance of the final group match, so he should hopefully be fit to play.
Turkey Latest Team News
Turkey will continue to lean heavily on their midfield quality in this final match and you can expect Arda Guler to be restored to the starting XI for a game they simply cannot lose. Elsewhere, centre-back Samet Akaydin may have been dropped for this one following his bizarre own goal against Portugal, even if he hadn’t limped out of that match injured, while Besiktas veteran Mert Gunok might return between the sticks.
Czech Republic vs Turkey Head to Head
This has been a closely fought fixture over the years, with each nation winning five of the previous 11 meetings. However, Turkey have won the last three, including at Euro 2016 as both nations crashed out in the group stage. The last time the Czech Republic beat Turkey back in October 2014, the likes of Petr Cech and Tomas Rosicky were in the starting XI.
