Crystal Palace vs Tottenham prediction, stats, tips & team news
Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to move up the Premier League table when they travel to face Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have had a mixed start to the new campaign, with three defeats from their opening eight games. It’s been worse for Crystal Palace, though, with the Eagles still waiting for their first victory.
Brennan Johnson 1+ Shot on Target & Micky van de Ven 1+ Foul Committed (7/4 with BetMGM)
Brennan Johnson’s scoring streak ended last weekend against West Ham, but the Welshman still recorded an attempt on goal for shots on target backers. Johnson has now managed at least one shot on target in all of his last seven starts for Spurs, and he should have plenty of chances against a Palace side that have been far from watertight at the back this season.
Micky van de Ven will be up against Eddie Nketiah, who won three fouls in Crystal Palace’s game with Nottingham Forest on Monday night. The Tottenham defender has given away at least one foul in all of his last six league matches, with totals of 1,1,1,2,1,1. With this in mind, and considering his direct opponent on Sunday, 8/11, looks like a very backable price.
Eberechi Eze 2+ Shots on Target & James Maddison Anytime Assist (14/1 with BetMGM)
Matz Sels made a remarkable finger-tip save on Monday to deny Eberechi Eze a stunning long-range goal in a game where the Crystal Palace dangerman let off six shots in total. Eze is averaging 4.1 shots per game this campaign, with an average of 1.4 on target per game. Before the international break, he managed two shots on target against Liverpool and followed that up with two against Nottingham Forest. He has recorded at least one on-target in seven of his eight league games, and with Palace desperate for that first win, I can see him shooting from range at every opportunity.
Despite backing Eze to threaten the Tottenham goal, I do think Ange Postecoglou’s side will come out on top in what could be a high-scoring affair. Maddison has provided three assists so far in the league this season, and with Palace only keeping one clean sheet all season, there’s plenty of scope for Maddison to get his fourth of the campaign.

How to watch Crystal Palace vs Tottenham live
Crystal Palace vs Tottenham is scheduled for 2pm on Sunday 27th October, but will not be broadcast live in the UK.
How both teams go into Crystal Palace vs Tottenham
Oliver Glasner’s first full season in charge of Crystal Palace hasn’t been going well. The Eagles are on the brink of entering November without recording a victory in the Premier League.
Four of their eight matches have been at Selhurst Park, with Palace drawing two and losing two. The opposition has been tough, with both Manchester United and Liverpool travelling to Selhurst Park. But Palace will have hoped for more than a point from games against West Ham United and Leicester City.
Tottenham haven’t fared much better on the road, but four wins from eight games in total this term isn’t the worst return. Consistency is Tottenham’s biggest problem at the moment, recently following a 3-0 win over Man United with a 3-2 defeat to Brighton. They did manage a 4-1 win over West Ham last weekend, but Ange Postecoglou will be well aware their form on the road must improve.
Crystal Palace host Tottenham at Selhurst Park on Sunday 27th October at 2pm.
Crystal Palace team news
Crystal Palace could bring Adam Wharton back into their starting XI on Sunday. Chris Richards, Matheus Franca, and Cheick Doucoure are all confirmed absentees for Spurs’ visit.
Tottenham team news
Son Heung-min didn’t feature in Tottenham’s Europa League win over AZ Alkmaar on Thursday evening but should be fit enough to start at Selhurst Park. Djed Spence trained individually midweek but will not be fit enough to feature here.
Crystal Palace vs Tottenham head-to-head
Since a 3-0 win for Crystal Palace at the start of the 2021-22 season, Tottenham have won their past five games against the Eagles. They have never won six in a row against Palace.
