Chelsea go into this game in horrible form at Stamford Bridge and there will undoubtedly be some fans already writing this one off. It’s not been an ideal start to life as Chelsea manager for Mauricio Pochettino, with the problems clearly running deeper than just the managers. Chelsea have only just climbed back into the top half of the Premier League thanks to a 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Monday, though, most fans will tell you they only managed that result thanks to the two red cards suffered by their London rivals. At Stamford Bridge, the Blues have just one win and five points from six games this season.

Man City, meanwhile, are back at the summit as they look to become the first-ever team to win the English top flight four years in a row. Pep Guardiola’s men crushed Bournemouth 6-1 last week to make it three wins in a row, having also beat Manchester United 3-0 and Brighton 2-1. That two-game losing streak seems well and truly behind them.

Under 0.5 Chelsea goals @ 27/20 with BetMGM

In May 2021, Kai Havertz scored the only goal for Chelsea as they beat Manchester City in the Champions League final. Since then, these two sides have met six times, with Man City scoring 10 times without reply. Last season alone there were four games across three competitions with an aggregate score of 8-0 for Man City. Chelsea are also in terrible form at Stamford Bridge, having won just one of their last 13 league home games.

Chelsea vs Man City Bet-Builder tip

Erling Haaland to score anytime, Over 1.5 Erling Haaland shots on target & Enzo Fernandez to be carded @ 9/1 with BetMGM

Erling Haaland is yet to score against Chelsea, but this is surely his best chance. The Norwegian is the Premier League’s top scorer this season on 11 goals from 24 shots on target, another league high. In the midfield battle, Enzo Fernandez will be key if Chelsea are to harbour any hopes of getting something from this match. However, the Argentine will have to watch himself having picked up three yellow cards so far this season.
