In a repeat of the 2022 final, Chelsea and Liverpool will once again battle it out for the League Cup trophy. Last time, it was the Reds who took the title on penalties following a 0-0 draw — also beating Chelsea in that season’s FA Cup final — somewhat avenging their 3-2 defeat to Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea in the final way back in 2005.

Liverpool are the most successful club in this competition’s history with nine titles, two of which have come since 2012, while Chelsea have won three since 2005 to take their total to five.
