Celtic vs Rangers predictions, odds, betting tips and team news

Celtic will look to extend their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership even further when they host arch-rivals Rangers on Sunday, March 16th, at 12:30pm (UK time).
The Hoops are already 16 points clear of their city rivals and another win here would make that gap 19 with just 24 points left to play for. You can watch the match live in the United Kingdom on Sky Sports Main Event.

Celtic vs Rangers Odds
How both teams go into Celtic vs Rangers
Celtic have recovered brilliantly from their shock 2-1 defeat to Hibs in February, putting five past both Aberdeen and St. Mirren to take maximum points, while also exacting revenge over the Edinburgh side in a 2-0 Scottish Cup win last time out. The Hoops are on the verge of a success that would see them draw level with Rangers on 55 Scottish league titles, which in turn would keep them just three behind world-record holders Linfield of Northern Ireland.
That will leave a sour taste in the mouths of Rangers supporters. However, they can delay the inevitable with a win here, which would be their first at Parkhead since a 2-1 extra-time success in the Scottish Cup in April 2022. That said, with a 3-1 lead to defend against Fenerbahce in the Europa League prior to this match, even the Old Firm derby might take a backseat in Rangers’ order of priority.
Celtic team news
James Forrest and Paulo Bernardo are unlikely to be fit for this match, with the end of March a more realistic goal for them. However, Celtic should have an otherwise full squad to choose from.
Rangers team news
Neraysho Kasanwirjo is out until the end of March, while Robin Propper is a doubt after suffering a concussion against Fenerbahce at the start of March, although he should be cleared to return to the squad here.
Celtic vs Rangers head-to-head
Rangers won 3-0 in the last meeting between these sides, but haven’t beaten Celtic away in their last eight attempts across all competitions. Their last away league win in this fixture came back in October 2020.
