On the pitch, however, they have been impressive but face tough opposition in Germany if they want to make the semi-finals.
DFB-Frauen finished runners-up to the USA in a tough group that also featured Australia and Zambia. After opening with an impressive 3-0 victory over the Matildas, they were brought back down to earth with a 4-1 defeat to the USA, before securing their spot in the final eight on the final day with a 4-1 win over Zambia.

Canada returned to their 3-4-3 formation against Colombia, with Adrian Leon and Cloe Lacasse coming back into the side. Both were replaced before the 65-minute mark, but should both start once more. Julia Grosso should partner Jessie Fleming in midfield once more.
Germany Women team news
Vivien Endemann impressed after replacing Jule Brand at HT against Zambia and will be hoping to secure a spot in the starting XI as Germany continue to play 4-4-2 with Lea Schuller (who scored twice in the last game) and Chelsea’s Sjoeke Nusken, who is yet to get off the mark.
