Newcastle vs Burnley odds
After securing a top four finish last season, many expected Newcastle to push on and at least be a lot more comfortable in the Champions League battle, or perhaps mount a minor title challenge. Some were sceptical, waiting to see how the Magpies would fare with Champions League football to manage alongside the Premier League. But in reality, Eddie Howe’s men were struggling before they even kicked a Champions League football. Despite starting the campaign with a 5-1 home win against Aston Villa, Newcastle then lost their next three matches, beaten by Manchester City, Liverpool and Brighton. Three tough opponents, Newcastle did bounce back with a 1-0 win over Brentford but it wasn’t convincing.
Burnley, meanwhile, are without a win on their return to the Premier League with Vincent Kompany finding it hard in the top flight. Playing each of their opening three matches at home, Burnley lost to defending champions Man City on the opening weekend before also losing to Aston Villa. Before the international break there was another defeat, this time 5-2 to Tottenham at Turf Moor, so Kompany may be looking to find more luck on the road.

Newcastle to win & BTTS @ 21/10 with Bet365
Newcastle have enjoyed their recent matches with Burnley, winning the last four in the league. Doing the league double in 2020/21 and 2021/22, Newcastle will be looking to win five consecutive league matches against Burnley for the first since 1955. However, the Magpies’ defence has proven a bit shaky this season with just one clean sheet so far.
