Man City are searching for a historic fourth Premier League title in a row — also the first time a men’s club will have achieved that feat in English top-flight history — but it’s not going entirely their way. Pep Guardiola’s side are currently second in the table, five points behind leaders Liverpool, albeit having played a game fewer. After a slight rough patch, Man City look to have turned things around, winning four of their past five league games, including three consecutive victories post-Christmas.

Burnley, meanwhile, are fighting at the other end of the table. The Clarets have one just three of their 21 league games this season and sit 19th in the table, five points from safety. It’s been a tough first year in the Premier League for Vincent Kompany, who can’t count on any goodwill from his former club. Since getting their third win of the season over Fulham before Christmas, Burnley have lost two and drawn one, holding fellow relegation-battlers Luton last time out.

Man City vs Burnley Bet-Builder tip

Erling Haaland to score anytime, over 3.5 goals, 110+ Rodri passes, 2+ Rodri tackles and 1+ Rodri fouls

Erling Haaland may not be expected to start but there is hope that he will get minutes, and he doesn’t need too many opportunities to get amongst the goals. The Norwegian has particularly enjoyed facing Burnley, with five goals in two games against the Clarets. This will contribute to Man City’s dominance of Burnley, with the Citizens winning the last 12 meetings by an aggregate score of 43-1. Rodri will also be key to victory and Man City dominating the game. The Spaniard has averaged 112.05 passes attempted per 90 minutes in the Premier League this season, completing 104.37.
