Brighton vs Brentford Odds

How both teams go into Brighton vs Brentford

Brighton find themselves in a bit of a hole right now, taking just two points from their last four games and winning only two of their last nine across all competitions. That run has seen the Seagulls slip to tenth in the Premier League table and drop out of the EFL Cup. That said, Brighton are still just six points adrift of the Champions League places, with the nature of this season’s Premier League table meaning a small run of form can put you right back in contention.

As for Brentford, they remain the very definition of Jekyll and Hyde. At home, the Bees are the Premier League’s best side with seven wins and one draw from their first eight matches, taking 22 points — but that run came to an end last time out against Nottingham Forest. But away, Brentford have taken just a single point from eight games, leaving them bottom of that table alongside Southampton. That has all conspired to leave them a respectable 12th, just two points behind Brighton and very much in the European race.

Brighton team news

Adam Webster will be touch and go for this match as he battles a hamstring problem, while James Milner is also absent with a similar issue, but Brighton could have the likes of Danny Welbeck, Ferdi Kadioglu and Jack Hinshelwood back in action.

Brentford team news

Aaron Hickey is out for the season, while we won’t see Mathias Jensen or Josh Dasilva until January. Gustavo Gomes and Rico Henry could return for this match, though. Ethan Pinnock and Kristoffer Ajer have been ruled out however.

Brighton vs Brentford head-to-head

Brighton are unbeaten in their last three matches against Brentford, although two of those have ended in a draw.
