The stats behind our Brighton vs Arsenal predictions:

  • Arsenal have scored at least two goals in four of their past five away league matches.
  • Bukayo Saka has scored 13 goals in the Premier League this season.

The Gunners are putting up impressive numbers in 2024

Arsenal followed up their 0-0 draw with title rivals Man City with a 2-0 win against promoted side Luton Town in midweek to extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League to 10 games (W9 D1).

The Gunners remain firmly in the race for the Premier League title and when you look at their defensive numbers during this calendar year you can see why. Mikel Arteta’s side have kept six clean sheets and conceded just four times in their 10 league games in 2024, whilst also scoring an impressive 35 times at the other end. They haven’t trailed for a single minute in any of their five away Premier League games in 2024, conceding the fewest goals (1), allowing the lowest xG against (2.26) and facing the fewest shots on target (5) on the road of any side this year.

Another clean sheet here would see David Raya become the first Spanish ‘keeper to keep a clean sheet in five consecutive Premier League away starts and the ninth different keeper to do so overall in the competition. It would also be just the second time in the club’s history that the Gunners had kept five clean sheets in a row away from home, doing so between February and April 1997.

Arsenal will have to be at their best if they are going to take another three points this weekend however, with Brighton currently on a 14-game unbeaten run at home across all competitions (W8 D6). They last lost at home in the Premier League way back in August against West Ham and their 12 game unbeaten streak at home in the Premier League is their longest ever in the competition.

Brighton vs Arsenal match tip

Arsenal -1 @ 8/5 by Star Sports

Arsenal have been fantastic on the road this year, even when you include their goalless draw with Manchester City at the Etihad. To add to that, the past four games between these two sides have been won by a margin of two goals or more, including two victories for Arsenal.

Arsenal are odds-on favourites for this game and it’s easy to see why. The Gunners remain unbeaten in the Premier League in 2024, only seeing their winning run come to an end in the goalless draw with Manchester City. Brighton haven’t lost at home in the Premier League since August however, so it may not be as easy as some people think.
