After scraping through the group stage as one of the best third-placed teams, Brazil beat France and them Spain to reach the final. The latter was a 4-2 victory that could have been so much bigger, a statement over the reigning world champions.

Brazil Women will welcome Marta back into the fold after she served a two-match suspension for her sending off against Spain Women in the group stage. Tamires is out with an ankle injury, picked up in the quarter-final win over France. Lauren had to come off against Spain in the semi-final due to injury, so Brazil Women will be sweating on her availability.

Emily Sonnett came on for Tierna Davidson at half-time against Germany, so she could be in line to start the final. Emma Hayes opted for a back three, but may revert to a back four, which would see Emily Fox at right-back rather than a centre-back.
