Odds correct as of 17:00 on October 19

As one of only two remaining teams without a Premier League win this season, Bournemouth are in desperate need of a positive result here. The Cherries were simply dreadful in their 3-0 defeat to Everton prior to the international break and now sit 19th in the table with just three points from eight games. Bournemouth have scored the fewest goals (5) and have the lowest shot conversion rate (5.3%) of any Premier League side this season. Indeed, the Cherries have scored as many goals in two League Cup games as they have in eight Premier League matches this term.

Wolves, meanwhile, will certainly still be looking over their shoulders, sitting 14th with just eight points themselves. However, five of those points have come in their last three games, with draws against Luton and Aston Villa sandwiched between that excellent 2-1 victory against champions Manchester City. Former Cherries boss Gary O’Neil will be particularly motivated to show his old club how much of a mistake they made letting him go over the summer.

Andoni Iraola may well be on borrowed time if he is unable to deliver some positive performances, and, ideally, points on the board to go with them. There are not many poor sides in this Premier League to haul in if results don’t change soon.

  • Wolves are unbeaten in their last three Premier League games.
  • The last three meetings between these two teams have yielded just two goals.
  • Hwang Hee-chan has scored three of Wolves’ last five goals (all comps) and has scored in his last three appearances (all comps).

Bournemouth vs Wolves match tip

Hwang Hee-chan anytime goalscorer @ 3/1 with Bet365

Hwang Hee-chan has scored six goals for Wolves across all competitions this season, including four in his last five appearances. His five league goals in 2023/24 is already his joint-most in a single Premier League campaign (also 5 in 2021-22). The Korean is looking to score in three consecutive league appearances for the first time since August 2019, when playing in Austria with FC Red Bull Salzburg.

Bournemouth vs Wolves Bet-Builder tip

Hwang Hee-chan to score > Pedro Neto to provide an assist

Wolves have struggled for goals so far this campaign, but when they do score, their two main men are involved. Pedro Neto has assisted five of his side’s eight goals so far this term, with no Premier League player providing more assists so far this season, while Hwang Hee-chan has scored five of Wolves eight goals and is looking to score in three consecutive league matches.

Bournemouth could be without up to six players for this match, though only time will tell whether or not the likes of Chris Mepham and Emiliano Marcondes will be available. The Cherries have had some bad luck injury wise for their summer signings, with Alex Scott yet to play for the club and midfielder Tyler Adams ruled out until the new year having played just 20 minutes for his new side in a League Cup game against Stoke.
