Bournemouth vs Tottenham prediction, odds, tips & team news
Bournemouth vs Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to continue their climb up the Premier League table when they travel to face Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Thursday 5th December at 8:15pm. Ange Postecoglou’s side endured an inconsistent start to the campaign but leapt up to seventh recently. Bournemouth, meanwhile, started well but now find themselves 13th. This game will be broadcast live on Amazon Prime Video.
Bournemouth Double Chance & Over 1.5 Match Goals (8/11 with bet365)
I’m a big fan of Bournemouth under Andoni Iraola, and my main play on Thursday includes the Cherries to Win or Draw the game, along with over 1.5 goals being scored in the match. Bournemouth have had a tough run of home games in this first half of the campaign, with Chelsea, Southampton, Arsenal, Manchester City, and Brighton visiting the Vitality in the last five matches.
Bournemouth have claimed 9 points from those five matches, including wins against Arsenal and Man City. The tight nature of the stadium on the south coast may go against Spurs, who have lost on the road against Newcastle, Palace and Brighton since the start of September.
I envisage goals in this contest. Looking back at the goal totals for both teams over the last few months, they have both seen at least two goals scored in eight of their last nine league matches.
Kulusevski 2+ Fouls Drawn & Semenyo to Score (6/1 with Paddy Power)
Bournemouth have conceded the most fouls in the league season. They take a front-foot approach and will press Spurs intensely. One player they will have to nullify is Dejan Kulusevsk. The Swedish international averages 1.58 fouls drawn per 90 minutes and has been fouled at least once in all of his last eight league starts.
Antonie Semenyo should be fresh and raring to go after serving a one-match suspension for picking up five yellow cards. The 24-year-old ranks second in the entire division for shots taken this season, with a healthy average of 3.7 per game. He found the net against Manchester City and has four goals in total since the start of the campaign. .

How both teams go into Bournemouth vs Tottenham
Andoni Iraola will be happy with Bournemouth’s start to the new season, but there will be a feeling that they could be higher. The Cherries have beaten the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City but have also lost five matches. Since a 2-1 win against Man City, the Cherries lost two on the bounce, but then claimed a 4-2 away win at Wolves last weekend.
Tottenham have also lost five games in the league this season, but they’ve won six. It has them seventh, just three points outside the top four after 13 games. Some Tottenham fans will be frustrated with their team, which have lost to Ipswich Town but also thrashed Man City. Away from home in the league, Tottenham have only managed two wins, but they have come at the Etihad and Old Trafford.
Bournemouth team news
Antonie Semenyo returns from suspension, but this game will come too soon for Luis Sinisterra. Alex Scott isn’t expected back until after Christmas, while Julian Araujo is a longer-term absentee.
Tottenham team news
Micky van de Ven remains out, while Wilson Odobert underwent surgery earlier in November and will also miss out. Richarlison isn’t expected back until the new year, and Rodrigo Bentancur is still suspended. Dominic Solanke and Christian Romero are both doubts and will be assessed before kick-off.
Bournemouth vs Tottenham head-to-head
This is still a relatively new fixture, with just 15 games played between Bournemouth and Tottenham. Tottenham have won 10 of those games, including each of the past two.
