Bournemouth vs Newcastle Premier League predictions: Tips, odds and team news
Bournemouth will be hoping they can get their season up and running when they host Newcastle United on Saturday at 5:30pm (UK time).
Bournemouth vs Newcastle odds
Bournemouth are finally off the mark in the Premier League, getting their first win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Burnley. The Cherries were the last team in the Premier League to win a game, and victory lifted them out of the relegation zone, one point clear of 18th-placed Luton. But since then, it’s been a harsh return to reality with Bournemouth crashing out of the EFL Cup against Liverpool before being brushed aside in a 6-1 defeat at champions Manchester City. As a result, the South Coast side are now back in the bottom three.
Newcastle, meanwhile, have continued their unbeaten run to remain sixth, but there may be some disappointment. The Magpies are winless in their last two away league games, since that 8-0 thrashing of Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. Newcastle followed the win up with a 2-2 draw against West Ham at the London Stadium, and there was another 2-2 draw, this time against Wolves at Molineux. Their last two domestic games have seen Newcastle win 3-0 at Man Utd in the EFL Cup and 1-0 at home to Arsenal in the Premier League, though they once again lost against Dortmund in the Champions League last time out.

Bournemouth vs Newcastle match tip
Callum Wilson to score anytime @ 11/8 with Bet365
Callum Wilson is yet to face Bournemouth in the league since leaving the Cherries, missing both matches last season due to injury. But the narrative dictates that he must score when he visits the Vitality in November. The Englishman scored 41 goals in 126 Premier League games for Bournemouth, helping them become mainstays in the top flight. However, he has already bettered that return for Newcastle, with 45 goals in just 85 league appearances. Wilson has scored seven goals in 10 league games this season including four away from home.
Bournemouth vs Newcastle Bet-Builder tip
Over 2.5 goals, Newcastle to win & Newcastle most cards
Newcastle’s away games have been fun to watch this season. There have been two 2-2 draws in their past two away games, not to mention the 8-0 win over Sheffield United. But there was also the 3-1 defeat to Brighton at the Amex in September. In fact, only a 1-0 defeat to Man City saw Newcastle involved in a game with fewer than three goals on the road in the Premier League this season. The Magpies will be confident of a win at the Vitality, unbeaten in their past eight matches against Bournemouth. However, they may also win the battle of the cards, with 27 yellows in the Premier League so far this season compared to Bournemouth’s 17.
